This is a snapshot of data for Yorkshire and the Humber and is taken from the Public Health England Fingertips Data which is based on data taken from Hospital Episode Statistics, the National Diabetes Audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework.

The National Diabetes Foot Care Audit (NDFA) is part of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) portfolio within the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP), commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and funded by NHS England.

The audit seeks to address three key questions: Are the nationally recommended care structures in place for the management of diabetic foot disease? Does the treatment of active diabetic foot disease comply with nationally recommended guidance? Are the outcomes of diabetic foot disease optimised? 


Yorkshire and The Humber - Summary of NDA Short Report 2017-18 (click image below)

The National Diabetes Audit (NDA) measures the effectiveness of diabetes healthcare against NICE Clinical Guidelines and NICE Quality Standards, in England and Wales. The NDA collects and analyses data for use by a range of stakeholders to drive changes and improvements in the quality of services and health outcomes for people with diabetes.

The National Diabetes Inpatient Audit (NaDIA) provides an annual snapshot audit of diabetes inpatient care in England and Wales and is open to participation from hospitals with medical and surgical units.

The audit sets out to measure the quality of diabetes care provided to people with diabetes while they are admitted to hospital.
