Early diagnosis programme publishes reports and updates
Accelerate, Co-ordinate and Evaluate (ACE) is an exciting early diagnosis programme that supports the NHS outcome of ‘preventing people from dying prematurely’. This unique initiative is supported by Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support and is running across England for 3 years. The first of the final ACE reports looking at lung cancer diagnostic pathways was published in March, followed by a report looking at the best routes to diagnosis for patients with vague symptoms. Hot off the press are new reports which have now been published around: Using cancer decision support tools to support early diagnosis of cancer The role of non-GP primary care in the early diagnosis of cancer Alongside these, is a paper anticipating the challenges of change within the NHS and an update on the 5 multidisciplinary diagnostic centre projects. PHE Cancer Data & Outcomes Conference
Don't miss this years’ Public Health England Cancer Data and Outcomes Conference which is being held on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th June, in Manchester. The conference will explore how data is being used across the patient pathway, from prevention, early diagnosis and treatment through to patient experience, quality of life and patient outcomes.
